Having antique firearms looked over.
« on: March 13, 2010, 10:51:59 AM »
Does anyone know of a gunsmith or even a trusted gun nut in the Lincoln area who is well versed in antique firearms that could look over my new (to me) firearms?

I have a Swiss Vetterli, Springfield Model 1873, and Winchester Model 1887 which I want to make sure are safe to shoot.  I can get some cowboy action 45-70 ammo for the Springfield 1873 and shoot it where as the Vetterli and 1887 will require some special hand loads.
