Public Input Sought on Waterfowl Hunting Boundaries
LINCOLN, Neb. ? Waterfowl hunters are invited to give their input on possible boundary changes to duck zones and goose units, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Hunters have two options for giving input: attend one of several public meetings around the state or download a survey from
http://outdoornebraska.ne.gov/hunting.asp.
"It's an opportunity to gather some input and see if there are changes out there that guys want to see made,'' said Mark Vrtiska, Game and Parks waterfowl program manager. "If you don't want a change, that's just as important as if you do want a change, so I need to have that input as well."
In accordance with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service rules, boundary changes may be made every five years. Any changes would be in effect for the 2011-2012 waterfowl hunting seasons.
