That's great news and as so many items need to be addressed, the spouse's in firearm carry issues should be adressed in the future. I am pleased that you will be able to have that option to carry or not to carry Your Choice....

I did have a feeling that is how it was going to work. You just can't be a Nebraska resident without a Nebraska DL. At least for now you have a work around, maybe someday it will be made right for all citizens of the US. I doubt that you will be able to get a Nebraska permit, but at least you are covered.

My father is a Texas resident, he owns more property in Nebraska than he does in Texas, but he has nearly no rights here other than paying the property taxes. At least his Texas permit is honored here.

So did the NSP state they would bring the issue before some Senators so a bill can be written up? Perhaps its a little late since the last day to introduce legislation is on Wednesday Jan 19th.

This issue can very likely be added to LB 138 which already deals with Residency requirement issues for the CHP.

Yes, plenty of time for amendments to the current bills.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
