Charter Arms .357 Mag Pug DOA SS

Just thought I would post a short review on the one I bought last month. Got it on line for $303. I was not sure if it would fill the bill or not but took a chance. Turns out that I like it just fine. I have tried four diffrent loads from full house .357 Mag hand loads to target hand loaded 158 grain wad cutters and it shot them all well. The grips are great for the heaviest mags and the ported barrel helps to stay on target. I dont carry with the .357 Mags but stick with factory Gold Dot .38 +P 125 grain loads. I would recomend it to anyone wanting a modest priced revolver with plenty of punch.

Is that a hammerless gun?  I can't tell from that angle.

Its kind of something in between. The hammer has been bobbed flush with the frame but is not enclosed or shrouded. So when you pull the trigger it rises above the frame a bit. It cant be cocked by hand so its DA only. Most likely keeps production costs down as opposed to a fully covered or enclosed disign. The DA action by the way is very smooth, right on par with my wifle's Smith 38Bodyguard.

A Five-Shooter........Like the Judge.

Which is Quite Sufficient in the .357 mode.

You kin also git 'em with a Full Hammer option if you want.

Nice, low-cost and Most Effective Home Defense device.

Not Smith and Wesson; but not $700, either.

Looks like a good carry gun.  I'm really liking my 642 Smith.  A hammerless snubby makes a nice easily concealed gun, especially for a skinny guy like me.
