If you are interested in trap and skeet check out Lincoln County Wildlife Gun Club, by Lake Maloney. http://www.claytargetsonline.com/club.php/1147

There is also Platte River Sportsman's Club. It's about 8 miles west of Highway 83 on Walker Road, south of North Platte. It is a 300 yard range.

+1 on the Platte River Sportsmans Range. They are great financial supporters of the NFOA and have a very nice range, with resettable plates at shorter ranges, and a good backstop for the longer ranges.

Only problem is a Dentist who built a house out there after the range was there. He will call the law if you shoot near dark or blow off any tannerite. Tannerite is ok there as long as it is only one pound at a time.

I am attending a family reunion at Lake Maloney, and several people coming wanted to go shooting ..... it would be great if this were an option, as it is very close to where we are staying!

I believe that WMA's are open to target shooting unless otherwise posted.

Anybody know anything about Cedar Valley WMA (1.25 mi southeast of Wellfleet)?

Looks like about a half section of hilly pasture from the satelite pic.......

Generalized shooting, can't help you.  But....I believe the USPSA matches and such at the Platte River range are open to non-members.  (At least, they should be.)

I realize that may not be what you want, but it is at least some shooting?
