Volunteers for 2011 Nebraska Big Bucks Classic March 25-27th
« on: March 03, 2011, 09:19:42 PM »
We need help manning our booth at the Big Buck Classic

Hours:

Friday the 25th: 4-9 pm (setup is earlier in the afternoon if you could help with that as well)
Saturday the 26th: 9 am - 8 pm
Sunday the 27th: 10 am - 4 pm

If anyone has a deer mount or antlers that they would allow us to display that would be useful as well.

More info coming soon...

It is held at Quest Center, Omaha; it is a poorly posted place.

I should be able to help out on Friday, may have my daughter in tow, so may take some time out for her to throw some arrows at the 3D range. Will have to play Saturday and Sunday by ear.

I'll be at the Appleseed in Hastings that weekend.  :-\

Ok we have the Bull on Friday and the Eagle on Saturday who will also be joined by Mike on Sunday.  I will most likely be there all weekend.  There is room for more help, I believe we get 4 passes and if we have 4 it makes it easier for people to get a break to wonder around and get a break.

I could probably work something out with you for the deer mounts.  I have two head shoulder mounts that you can see in my avatar.  I was wanting to get them scored this year but not sure how it all works out but if I take them to get scored and that only takes a little amount of time I would be totally ok with displaying them at the NFOA booth after that.

Put me down for Saturday morning from 9 til about 1 or 2pm.

Yes thanks for the offer at this moment I have no idea how we can display them, anyone have a portable wall they could hang on?  How heavy are mounts?

They are fairly light. I believe some sort of lightweight foam/plastic is what the form is made of.  Highly akward though to carry and transport but like I said I'm trying to get down there and have them scored anyways so hopefully they will already be down there, but time is not good on the weekends right now, the wife is taking classes all weekend long so me and the three year old are trying to squeeze everything in.

I will be setting up friday and working it friday all day and saturday till noon or so if I am needed. I will also be selling raffle tickets and t-shirts at this event.

If you want a t-shirt, speak up with what color (black, tan or green) and what size you need and I'll save one for you until the show. If you speak for one, you'd better be there and get it when promised. Shirts are $15, all profits donated to NFOA. SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED!

Andy are you going to have a cheat sheet about current legislation status so we can discuss knowledgeably about them. I have not been able to keep up.
I want to do more than just stand there looking good.

I have the position sheets that I printed for lobby day (still have about 100) and can list some info on bills that have moved or something happened to.  Basically update the last alert.

I will be reviewing the schedual for this weekend and posting tommarrow.
