I am not often stumped with hand loading but I have a bit of a head scratcher. I am loading for 300 Savage and the die set came with a factory crimp die. Not to complicated to understand how it works but I did run into an issue. When all is done the bulltes are still a bit loose in the crimp. I cant pull them out of course as the die has ingraved the bullet jacket under the crimp but they will still rotate side to side a very small bit. Indicating that they are not firmly criimped like with a roll crimp. I have taken the die down until the gaps on the collet are closing and the instructions say this is the max allowed crimp with out damaging the die or press. So, if anyone can share some experience with this let me know.
Thanks
