Try out some USPSA....
« on: April 24, 2011, 06:18:18 PM »
The Eastern Nebraska Practical Shooters are holding a USPSA Special Classifier match on the first Sunday in May at ENGC near Louisville.

If you want to get classified in USPSA, you can get it all done in one match! (Instead of over 8 months or so with our regular classifier schedule...)

If you are a member of USPSA and want to classify, or want to classify in another division, this match will contain 5 different classifier stages.  (Listed at http://www.easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/2011/matches/05/pistol/special_classifier_match.htm  )

If you AREN'T a member of USPSA but have always wanted to give it a try, you might think about trying this---it'll give you an idea of what the classifiers are like in general, and if you shoot it then join soon after, the classifiers will still count.  It isn't necessary to be classified, but it is handy if you go to a larger match, such as the Great Plains Sectional that will be held at ENGC on Saturday, July 10th.  http://www.easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/2011sectional/2011sectional.htm  )

If nothing else, coming out and shooting will be a good time.  (And USPSA is just a ton of fun.)

Just a quick bump to remind people about the USPSA match at ENGC tomorrow.   Even if you don't care about being classified or being a member of USPSA, it'll still be a good time.  The stages are very short, and focus on specific gun-handling skills---which is always a good thing to evaluate.

Plus, it is just fun.

Registration/setup starts at 7:15am or so, shooting starts at 9am.  If you can come out early to help set up, that is always appreciated.

Hope to see people there!
