I will be unless I am forced to work, but that is not really likely.  Wet weather might make the ranges a muddy mess again if the forecast I just saw is right

At least the grass is starting to come up on the new range.  Hopefully it won't be so bad.

I'll be there.... Maybe. If it rains and is muddy..... causing us to not have access to all three ranges..... I will be canceling the match. We will not be running the match until almost 4pm ever again to try and get the shooters through (because we were down a range last month)

None of us get paid enough to do that again  :-)

Well, then, I guess I'll just have to cancel the rain for this weekend.

Sounds like a plan, I'll take weather like we had today on Saturday!

wont make it this weekend.  class reunion of all things on saturday  (first one, i'm younger than you guys)

I will also be sending rounds downrange from the Mosin, so i can be ready for the next vintage match at Ikes.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

I was hoping to make it out this month, but I will be tearing down my front porch on Saturday so I can shoot IHMSA on Sunday. Everybody is welcome to shoot silhoutte on Sunday, and I am also accepting volunteers to help me rebuild my porch next week.

I would really like to go but here's my issue...

I have an M&P9 with the Apex Tactical Duty/Carry Action Enhanacement Kit (DCAEK) installed. This improves the trigger pull and leaves it at around 5 lbs. This is a similar trigger pull weight to the stock trigger but it is a lot smoother with a better reset. The rest of the gun is completely factory.

Would I be able to compete in the Stock/Amateur class? I'm not the best pistol shooter so I don't think I'd want to compete in the Masters class.

You will be fine in the Am/Stock class.

The Master/Unlimited class is for guns with Optics and/or compensators (aftermarket).... And also for shooters who have won the stock division 3 times

Cool! I'll stop by. Do you care what kind of ammo we bring? Obviously "match" ammo will be more accurate but since my skills are pretty bad anyway I'll probably just bring standard FMJ ammo.  ::)

Also any other required equipment? # of mags?

I saw that holsters are not required or recommended. I can bring a folding chair no problem...

If I were to come carrying, should I unload and pack up the gun in my car? Don't want to get anyone mad at me.

FMJ ammo is fine.

Keep the carry gun in the car, cannot wear holstered guns on the range.

Bring as many mags as you have. At least 4 is recommended, but you can get by with two if that is all you have. A range bag to carry your gun, mags, and ammo. Eye and ear protection.

Bummer.  I've been loading ammo like crazy the last week.  I really need a progressive press.

Well, I guess it's off to the Fremont gun show tomorrow instead.

Where was this scheuled for anyway?  I cant get to that "tripod" site from the office.  If its at ENGC then I could possibly make it next month as I have some leave scheduled.

And ammo requirements?  I reload, so are target loads OK or do we have to go factory?

Ron-

These matches are the Lincoln Ikes range (134th & Hwy 2) just east of Lincoln.

Your reloaded target ammo is just fine for this match
