C'mon out tomorrow for the Bianchi match at ENGC. We will be shooting three of the Bianchi events---Falling Plates, Barricade, and one other who's name I can't recall because I'm not the one in charge.
You don't have to move, don't have to reload on the clock---just have to draw then shoot accurately within a par time. It's a good time, and very different from Steel Challenge or USPSA---so it makes a good change-up from regular matches.
Or, alternatively, it is a good place to start some competition shooting, if you haven't yet...
Bring a gun, a holster, and some magazines, and (if you don't have to reshoot for some reason) 144 rounds. Setup starts at 7:30am, and shooting starts at 9:00am at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club.
The Bianchi Cup just finished up----we can take our scores and compare them to the experts, just to make us feel....well. Hmm. Maybe we don't want to compare our scores. Doug Koenig got a perfect score of 1920 points, with only 5 hits that
weren't in the X-ring (187 X-hits). Matter of fact, in the Open division the top
four people each had perfect point scores.
However, the people shooting Metallic or Production had lower scores, so we can feel better about that comparison.
C'mon out---it is fun. And different.
