C&R License
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:44:48 PM »
I just ordered the application for a C&R License from the BATF.  I ordered two copies, since i am fairly certain i will screw one up.

Any tips/hints/suggestions for when the application comes in?

Not sure if this is the correct subforum, but I am asking for help, I guess ;D

Not much to it, you just have to keep a bound book of all C&R guns you own.  You can buy and sell them, just don't make a business out of it.

Gunbroker is evil, especially late at night after a few beers.

the glorious thing is that i really don't have alot of money to pend, but since RobertH ruined me by telling me about that Mosin Nagant revolver for $100, i figured i would go ahead and get it so if i saw something i could pull the trigger, so to speak.

Brian, I may hit you up for a tutorial when the application arrives.

i think those nagant revolver are like $110 @ aimsurplus.  cabelas sells them for about $150-ish.  cabelas does sell the ammo behind the gun counter.  i don't think the 7.62 nagant is reloadable, but you can always recycle the brass.

i know im having a hard time not getting my C&R and loading up on historic pieces.

Anyone have any idea on turnaround after sending in the application?  Just kind of curious if i'll be waiting till next year or if i can hope for something in the 30-60 day timeframe.

I think my original took maybe 30-45 days, and about 30 for when I renewed 3 years later.

I have one Mosin, and he is she is kept locked up.  If she multiplies, it the Immaculate Duplication.
