Any Zombie shoots in NE this year?

ENGC had one last year but I don't see it on their calendar for 2011.    :(

I asked them on Facebook and theyre thinking about it.  I hope they have a rimfire rifle stage.  My .22 sbr will be done by then.

Yes, we are.  :)  Information about it is forthcoming.  (I've just about gotten the website finished for it.  Just have to check a couple of other things, and then I'll post the info here.)

bkoenig---sorry, but it is just a pistol-only match this year.  The 3-gun and 2-gun formats were fun, but the match just ran too long according to some people, so we had to go with a pistol-only match this year.

Of course, if enough people come to help out this year, we could conceivably argue that we could make a 3-gun/2-gun match work again for next year....  :)

Is there going to be a special class for shooters who run suppressed, since, you know, according to current research, loud noises attract other zombies?  What could we call it?  We've got Production and Open.  "Silent but Deadly" maybe?

I'm actually kinda ok with no 3gun this year (although I did wanna try my new shotty) but I sold the short Mosin and would have to shoot the 91/30, not sure if it would even fit in the 'house'. :)

You know, the Open division is based on having a an optic or a comp on your gun---nothing about having a suppressor....so technically, if you have iron sights and a suppressor, you are still in Irons category.  :)  Open Suppressed would be interesting, too.

If you run your pistol suppressed for the entire match, I'm thinking we might have to find some special category for you.  :)

Will this be multigun?

Alliance Rifle Club is hosting a Zombie shoot Oct.29.  We are going to try it as a 3 gun match with emphases on fun. http://www.alliancerifleclub.com/Pages/zombieposter.html

Does this allow spectators? I don't have 3 guns to play with, but my son and I would love to come watch. :)

I'm sure.  Very very few of these types of things are invite only.  Bring ammo, somebody might let you use their gun.  I've done it.

Most competitions invite spectators to come watch, as long as they bring ear/eye protection.  ENGC matches are always open to everyone.  (And if you come watch, you are going to want to shoot it the next time.  Or if you are lucky, someone will let you borrow some gear and shoot it THAT time!)

As a quick comment, the ENGC Zombie match includes a .22 rimfire division---and you don't need a holster, either.  About all you need is a pouch to hold extra mags, and plenty of ammo.  So there aren't any excuses for not shooting the match!  :)

The Alliance match looks like a lot of fun---but unfortunately, it is a bit far for me to go.  Hope you get lots of people from your side of the state!

Spectators are always welcome. If you decide to join in, there will be plenty of equipment & ammo available.. If we have time after the match and a few subguns show up we may even run a side match for the auto crowd.

Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
