Separation of Church and State only applies when trying to pray before a football game or when your Valedictorian child tries to give thanks to God during his/her graduation speech.  Also, applies to Navitivty scenes or anthing else of Judeo=Christian origin.....and yes, I am sadly being sarcastic.

Sadly if a church is chartered under the 501(c)(3)  provisions, they have given the government control of that church.

Interestingly enough; Here in NM we are not incumbered by a church ban, but in the last week I have been contacted by two area churches that are considering implimenting an armed security program.

TX and OK do not ban either.  They treat it like a "business" i.e. they can post a sign forbidding such.  In TX it is actually titled and numbered the 30-06 law.
