SURE!, I'm thinking right after I write my will as the impending heart attack would surely kill me.
Then I realize I am sitting on my couch surfing the web, watching Big Bang Theory reruns, having just finished a pizza, working on a huge bowl of Rocky Road, contemplating milk n cookies, and trying to figure out how to use up all the Bacon I bought.......hmmm

Dang-it! I can't reach my remotes!

Correction....sitting on the couch is what causes heart attacks.   ;D

I run so I can eat bacon, drink beer, and pig out on ice cream....

I'm old and slow with a gimpy hip and a bad back, but it should be fun.

Yes, it looks like it is.  I'm running a CMP rimfire match on the 9th, so I wasn't going to do it but then they opened up a second day on the 10th.

The "Whats Included" page might tempt you NEBull.  The first thing on the list is "Free Beer"!  ;D

I think the entry fee might be worth all the stuff you get.  What caught my eye was the "Fuzzy Warrior helmet".  You can't have enough of those.

On the downside..."No REAL Warrior weapons and/or firearms will be allowed.".

This sounds like a blast, but I am not much of a runner.  I am a reasonable biker (I pass most of the other 60-something bikers on the path), but I've never been very good at running.

I saw that about the weapons, too.  I'm guessing it's because they have an after party with beer.

The entry fee is a little steep.  I think the last 5k I entered was only $20 or so, and that included a t-shirt.

Looking at the course I don't think there's actually that much running at any one time.  The whole thing is 5k, but it looks like it's broken up pretty often by obstacles.  So instead of running you get to climb a rope wall or crawl through mud :D

I'll look into it, my phone is being a pain and not letting me load the page.  And I'm about to dive headlong into some accounting homework.  It hates me.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

AND jump over fire!  Also, with the $20 for the other run, you only got a T-shirt.  In this thing you get a t-shirt, beer, AND the fuzzy Warrior hat.  I was looking around for the actual distance of the course, but couldn't find it.  5k...that's like a hundred yards, right?!  ;D

It's actually 3.33 miles, which is a little more than 5k.

The fuzzy viking hat sealed the deal for me.

I'm in the 9:30 group.

If you want something similar with firearms, go take a look at my 24 Hour Sniper Adventure Challenge thread.

My son and I did one of these in KC last summer. It was a lot of fun. The obstacles weren't difficult at all, its definitely set up for the weekend warrior crowd. You could walk the entire course and be done in less than an hour. There were a few studs that finished the course in just over 22 minutes.

I work with a guy who took 3rd place at the Lincoln mud run last year.  He said it wasn't that big of a deal.  It sounds like a lot of people just show up to have fun and party.  Of course he's a former college athlete...
