If I buy 20 boxes, the $5.99/box + shipping will bring the cost per round to $0.322.  As the number of boxes ordered goes up, the shipping charge goes down and it will be cheaper per round.  For example, if 40 boxes are purchased, the price becomes $0.317 per round.

I will probably order in the next week.  If anyone is interested, please let me know. This is a good price and I expect it to go quickly so we must move on it ASAP.

PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS as I will have to make a final calculation and let everyone know what they owe.

Please post in this thread how many boxes you want.  I will ask that any interested parties have a PayPal account and send their funds (after I provide them with the final amount) via the "Send Money" option.  I will provide the details via PM or email if we have interested parties.  This process will be similar to the AR-15 magazine group buy set up by Mudinyeri. I believe the brass is Lake City and may be good for reloading for those interested.  Maybe someone else can confirm this?

Bump + forgot to mention that I live in Lincoln.  I could drive to to the outskirts of Lincoln to meet anyone who wants in on this group buy.

Fly,

I'll go for 20 boxes (400 rds) if you decide to go ahead with the order.  I already have a PayPal account, and I live in Lincoln, so I can pick it up when it gets here.  Thanks.  :)

Thanks for that.  I'm thinking of only waiting until Wednesday or Thursday (February 22nd or 23rd) to place the order.  I don't know if there is a risk of them running out soon.  I will send an email or call to find out how they are doing on stock.

I called PSA and they have 15K rounds left, so running out does not sound like a concern.  Though the young lady said the prices are scheduled to go up 10+%.  Not sure if that is a sales pitch or what.

If I had a dime for everytime I hear...."the prices are scheduled to go up 10+%"....well you know.  Now....if (when
:( ) BHO gets reelected and/or the nutball in Iran keeps farting around with Israel, then probably gonna see ammo and firearms skyrocket.

Hmmm, sounds like their current supply should last for a little while, but there are probably a lot of people who buy in a lot bigger volume than you or I do.  I can't think they'll raise the price on the stock they already have on hand, but who knows.

The current price is a pretty good price......I'm OK with hanging on for a few days yet, so some others can take advantage of the deal.

bullit...could you provide links to the Nachez and CTD pages?  If so, I will look at them and see how they compare to PSA and including shipping rates.  I did a search for "Federal 193" on the Nachez and CTD websites, but most of it said "out of stock".  What I could find that was in stock had shipping rates that made it higher per round than PSA.

Thanks,

Natchez is adverstising in stock, but sounds like untrue based upon your research.  Alas, I've had that problem with them before. As for CTD, they had stock about 2-3 wks ago.  Sorry if confusion.....just providing another source if needed.

Sorry...I should have been more clear.  Do you have the links to the pages for the Federal M193 that is the same deal as at PSA?  I am familiar with the companies/websites, but I just can't find the product.

I saw that one.  With shipping, it still ends up being a little more per round so the PSA deal (with shipping) is still looking better.

ROAD TRIP !!! to pick it up.
Odd how shipping is more from TN than SC.  Go figure.

As an aside SG Ammo in Stillwater OK has the same price...so sounds like a distributor price point.  Alas, SG is out of stock, too.  They do have for roughly the same price LC 62 gr/Federal M855 for about .50 cents more.  Ain't bad, but I think it will go down even more with the wind down across the pond.  IMHO.

Lets get this party started.

Here are the deadlines...

Wednesday February 29, 2012 - Final date to let me know you want in on the deal and how many rounds (how many 20 round boxes).

Monday March 5, 2012 - I will advise interested parties how much they owe.

Wednesday March 7, 2012 - Payment will be due.

I will place the order by March 9, 2012.

Does that sound reasonable? Any other takers?

Sounds reasonable.  I'm still in for 20 boxes (400 rds).
