Oh, and just to show my geekiness a bit:

With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.   J. F. K.

It's not "of the People, by the People, and for the People" anymore.  Now it's "of the People, by the Lawyers, and for the Lawyers."

"If you ever have to ask the "Why" of thing, then the answer is usually "money".....  When the answer is not "Money", and Government is involved, then it is "power". "

Those Kansas idiots generate income for themselves and for the Legal System with their antics..... this Legislation will do likewise..... and it further increases the Power of the Federal Government.
The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

Doesn't this Violate the Prime Directive ?

I don't get it......what does Captain Jean Luc Picard have to do with this?

He was quoting a judge from the generation before his (as in lifetime, not series wise).... apparently made it into textbooks and all of that.

Social commentary in all of the different Trek series has always been most interesting and even profound at times.
