Rick Scott has rejected a request from the Tampa mayor to prohibit the carrying of guns in downtown during the Republican National Convention this summer because it would infringe upon “sacred constitutional traditions,” according to a letter released Wednesday.

Rick Scott for President. Doesn't sound like he would overreach any boundaries to infringe on any rights. This is the kind of leader we need, not one that treats us like immature kids who can't think for themselves.

I feel a little weight drop off my shoulders every time a guy like this slaps people in the face with their freedom.

They desperately demand their freedoms be taken away, but uhh uhh, he iddn't going to do it. - that's in my Rush Limbaugh voice.

“it is unclear how disarming law-abiding citizens would better protect them from the dangers and threats posed by those who would flout the law.”

This is the very heart of the matter and Gov. Scott "gets it".
