UZI Model B 9mm.
« on: May 04, 2012, 09:44:01 PM »
Hello, I have been offered an Uzi Model B 9mm carbine in trade for a motorcycle I own. The bike is worth $2500
Here is what he is offering;
An Uzi model B 9mm that he bought new in 1983 and only fired once, he says it has only had one clip shot thru it.
an upper reciever kit that converts it to a 22 Lr. NIB.
an upper reciever kit that converts it to 45 acp. NIB
These are both factory kits. Plus an Uzi soft case,  many clips, original box, paperwork.
Has anyone here had experience with these items? What is the value of all this?
He and I are not in a big hurry to make this trade, I have a couple of months to make up my mind.
Opinions please.
Thanks Greg

That uzi is worth far more than your bike if it is a legal MG.  buyer beware.

I would value that at about $1700.00  $7500 if a machinegun as you did not specify.

Oh I assumed MG as he gave it date in 1983, implying it is is transferrable...  Might be wrong.

No it is semi auto. He said it is pre-ban and was not certian on the year, but said he paid $1200 for the gun back then, then bought the kits shortly after.
I have not seen it in person, I mainly want to know if there is much of a market for this? Is it something I could have fun with and get my money back out of down the road?
Thanks Greg

idk, i wouldn't do it.  an uzi w/ a 16" barrel is kinda weird looking to me.... but to each his own.

You could buy quite a variety of several pistols for the cost of that Uzi.
