I wonder if Obamacare is responsible for a new issue at work. Supposedly we are no longer allowed to work 7 days straight, so OT on weekends is an either Saturday OR Sunday., cannot work both due to too many hours (OSHA?) hmmm... will report back when we learn of all the details.

We sold our business this year just because of too many unknowns. The new owners downsized right away and are not going to retain any extra employees. So glad I had the offer last winter and made the decision to sell in February.

Was lucky and glad that the people we had employed had other jobs to go to since we let them know our intentions last fall and we were a seasonal business.

My employer recently initiated a hiring freeze, I'm sure it is a result of the election

What's worse, is many of those businesses who were defense contractors were instructed by the Federal Government to delay sending out layoff notices until after the election.

But, We saved or created 5 million new jobs   ???

And the unemployment rate magically goes down each month.

A member of my family works for one of the major defense contractors in the area and they've been experiencing layoffs all year. It's really going to hurt the metro area since those jobs pay well and are going to evaporate.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The American people have spoken.  This is what they wanted.  Obama cares about them.
"It is better to avoid than to run; better to run than to de-escalate; better to de-escalate than to fight; better to fight than to die. The very essence of self-defense is a thin list of things that might get you out alive when you are already screwed." – Rory Miller
