Just went to the troopers station here in Omaha on Wednesday to renew my permit, they said it would take 5-10 days to get the new one.

One thing I did notice, when I originally did my applicaiton 5 years ago they had one heck of a time getting my prints (really dry hands), but the girl was all over it this time. Experience pays off I guess.

And received it in this mornings mail. WOOT! A 3 day turn around, NSP is doing a great job.

I'm getting impatient too. I applied on January 21. I was led to believe that the delivery time was averaging only 20ish days. I'm still waiting. Arrgg....

My 45th day is March 7. Am I correct though that 45 days means 45 CALENDAR days and not BUSINESS days?

Calendar days..... If it doesn't show up by then, call the Lincoln NSP CID office and politely ask them the status of your permit. I've been hearing approx 30 day turnarounds recently

Received my renewal in mail today, 5 business days exactly like I was told. Hats off to troop D at North Platte, great bunch of people.

Still waiting on day 35.

And as luck would have it day 45 will be on a Saturday, so if it's not here by then I assume I won't be able to check on it until the following Monday. Arggg....

It took mine about 6 weeks little over a year ago when i got mine. I will say tho when i changed addresses i had mine in 2 days i was very impressed with the turn around time. I have heard other people say the same when only making changes.

According to Nebraska State Statue §69-2430 it states that the permit shall be issued within 45 days after applying.

Applied May 11, permit arrived in mail June 24. 44 days. I wonder if they let applications sit until the 45 day deadline approaches.

That hasn't usually been the case. The processing times have fluctuated over the past couple years. There for awhile they were exceeding the mandated 45 day timeframe. We found that staffing turnover was mostly responsible for that. Once they were properly staffed again the processing times were eventually reduced to 3 weeks or so. The volume of applications they receive also varies too. Over the winter I'd heard of folks getting their permit in as few as 15 days from application. So there are many factors that affect processing times. I have not heard anything that would indicate an intentional delay in processing applications.

I turned in my paperwork into the Omaha patrol 6-15-15 and had my concealed carry license in the mail 7-15-15. Total time of 4 weeks is good.

Today is day 30 for me. Turned it in on 16 June. Hopefully, it won't be much longer. Update: Got it on day 31.

i submitted my prints Mon, July 13 and received my permit Wed, July 22. this was for a renewal.
