What did you get for Christmas?
« on: December 25, 2012, 01:19:36 PM »
Well, I asked for ammo, and came away with 650 rounds of handgun ammo, and an IWB holster for my SR9-c.
I am blessed with a great family.
How did everyone elses Christmas turn out?

Well gun wise I didnt get anything, but the wife did.  She got several ar500 steel plates, some stuff for multigun including electronic earmuffs, 30 rnd  mag holders.

Dont worry, I did pretty good myself, got something for my other hobby which is under attack by the obama administration as well.  Jet engined powered RC jets.  If Obama has his way with everything I do I'll have to take up knitting but I cant use a needle longer than 1" and cant more than 10 feet of yarn at any given time otherwise I could knit myself parachute and try to land on the whitehouse lawn.

It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

RC is good here too, not into jets but 1/3 scale is fun for me.

I got "broke".  6 kids, a wife, and the in-laws and all I have to show for it is an empty wallet.  :(

OTOH I did get a great "Southern" Xmas dinner out of the deal (Mom's from Alabama), and a new razor, so no complaints.

I got a very nice Christmas bonus from work, so I picked up this old beater:

60's era Marlin 336, back from before they started adding those stupid crossbolt safeties, and WAY before Remington bought them and ruined the company.  This is one that's been rebored to 38-55.  If .30 caliber is good, 38 caliber is better!  It has some finish wear, but the guy who did the reboring specializes in this and has a stellar reputation.  This is going to be my new Cowboy Silhouette gun.

Waiting patiently for it to show up.
