A well-thought out stance...
« on: January 29, 2013, 07:25:49 AM »
From a CT resident, no less ;D

I for one would like to applaud this man for not only staving off a knee-jerk reaction, but for having solid facts to back up his testimony.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

He nailed it exactly ... "societal decay".

And it is not just in the inner cities.   The  rot goes right up to the halls of Congress, the Oval office  and the chambers of the SCOTUS.

To elect better people the people have to become better people.

I don't see that happening any time soon until they begin to experience hard times and lose patience with the welfare cheats, corporate criminals,  scammers,  bigots, crooks, rapists and such.   Hard times are coming soon, and for some are already here.   Will the  people be able to defend themselves from the marauding gangs of thieves and jackboots with badges?   That's what were fighting to preserve ... the ability to  have a fighting chance.  The "leaders" have decided to disarm us so  they  can "control" us.

Yes, a well thought out response, and unfortunately something that will do little to convince the gun-grabbers of the idiocy of their positions.

The gun-grabbers care nothing for the facts, only their own emotional responses.  And that is the base upon which they make their arguments, emotion.  Nothing more.  Facts only get in the way of their emotional responses and therefore to them facts are meaningless.  Anyone who reads at thegunwire.com can see this, the site posts both sides of the argument (its obvious that it’s a pro-gun site) which allows the readers to, if they can stomach it, see the arguments coming from the other side.

I applaud the gentleman for speaking out against the idiocy that is coming down the road at us, but his argument fell on deaf ears as far as the panel was concerned.  And that will continue to happen as long as we and our fellow citizens continue to elect representatives who allow their emotions override their ability to think clearly and make decisions based on the facts.

Henson Ong testifies in CT on the 2A:

Wonderfully done IMHO.

Now that was an impressive speaker. I wish we could build more relationships with folks who can articulate our values like this gentleman.

Mr. Ong, A naturalized citizen, seems to have a better understanding of the Constitution and Ideals of our founders than most natural born citizens.  Why?  Maybe because he knows what not having Freedom is like, while Americans have taken the same for granted.

Here is another story and video from Conneticut by a father of a 5th grader who was in lockdown at Sandy Hook.
