Saving history this past weekend!
« on: February 04, 2013, 09:02:57 PM »
I am proud to say that I saved a piece of world history on Sunday from the gun grabbing left wing idiots.

Japanese type 99 short rifle
With aircraft sights, monopod, early bayonet, and origional sling!

She was rusty, but very solid, with a shoot-able bore, good chrome lining!

It's not the rustiest thing I have worked on by a long shot, but she is good looking for an old girl.

She was destined for a buy back, no way!

Very nice!  My type 99 is missing the monopod and the arms for the aircraft sights.  Shoots nicely though.  FYI, if you need to find some ammo, the Cabelas in LaVista usually has at least a couple boxes of 7.7x58 on the shelves.  Is the Imperial Chrysanthemum defaced?

Sadly yes.
