They will be regular t-shirts.  If we got the "ultra modern uber cool water wicking shirts" we'd have to charge more. :)

Get your registration in! :)

I would definitely register if they were going to be ultra modern uber cool water wicking shirts.  Oh heck! Maybe I still will.

Apparel sensitivities aside.

Out of curiosity, what is a "Sectional", is it state level?

Edit: I just looked it up, what all does the Great Planes Section constitute?

In the past, do a lot people travel for these? Just curious as I have never participated in one.

I plan on attending regardless of t-shirt wicking ability.

The Great Plains Section covers Nebraska and South Dakota.

This match usually gets people from Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri as well.  Some of us are crazy and drive several hours to matches!  It is a Level II match, and will be a ton of fun!

It is just that cotton shirts don't hang right on me.  They make me look like I have a muffin top thing going on.

As Julie said, the Great Plains Sectional is roughly a state-level match (ours is two states, but most Sectionals are roughly state-level) and people normally come from the state itself, plus some from surrounding stages.

Occasionally, you get a match that is well-known as being fun, and people come from farther.  Ours----gets some of that.  We do good stuff.

It'll be nine stages this year, one of which is going be BIG, so it'll be about double the size of an ordinary club match.  ROs will be dedicated, which means that the ROs will have shot on the previous day, and they will be on a stage permanently instead of part of the squad.

There isn't a prize table, but there are plaques given for winning your division, and sometimes (depending on the number of people in your class) winning your class.

You do need to be a member of USPSA to shoot the Sectional, but people should do that anyway.  :)

The next step up from a Sectional match is an Area match, which is effectively a regional championship.  We are in Area 3, and the Area 3 match is going to be held in Grand Island at the beginning of August.

Any USPSA member can go to any Sectional or Area match---you don't have to live in that section/area to shoot the match.  (For example, a couple of us go to the Area 5 match  each year, even though we live in Area 3.  No, there isn't an Area 51 in USPSA.)

The Sectional match is a lot of fun---and best of all, if you are used to shooting at ENGC, it'll be a nice comfortable transition to a larger match, since you'll be used to the club, and you'll know many of the ROs.

Just wanted to bump this, to remind people that:

1) the Sectional application is available on the ENPS website at:

http://www.easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/2013sectional/2013sectional.htm

and that we are running online squadding this year on the USPSA.org website.  So if you want to squad with a group of friends, get your application in early so that when we update the squadding page you can immediately put yourself and your friends in the same squad.

The squadding page for the Great Plains Sectional can be found at:

http://www.uspsa.org/squadding/index.php?action=list&indx=250

Yes, it looks pretty empty (other than the three people we added to test the system), but that is because we haven't started adding competitors yet.  We will be doing so relatively soon, however, so get your applications in so that you can squad yourselves where you want when we do!

The Sectional stages are being chosen in the next few weeks, so we should be able to get a more accurate round count posted.

Also, the t-shirt design is completed and I'll be looking into prices for t-shirts and the "ultra modern uber cool water wicking shirts".

Get your registrations in early.  We are doing online self-squadding this year, so if you want to shoot with your friends, register early so you can get on the same squad.  Thanks!

I'd prefer the wicking shirts, too, just depends on the pricing.  We only charge $25.00 for shirts. :)

The stages for the sectional are posted on the enps website.  http://www.easternnebraskapracticalshooters.com/  The drawings are approximate and the stages may change slightly when they are actually built.  This will, however, give you some idea of what you are getting yourself into.

The match is less than two months away.  If I don't have your registration in my hands (or postmarked) by June 15, the price goes up to $85.00.  WHY WAIT??

We are also doing online self squadding, so if you want to shoot with your buddy, make sure you both get registered early so that you can squad together.
