A few more single shots
« on: May 23, 2009, 03:50:40 PM »
Here's mine:

Pedersoli Sharps, 45-70:

Steven Favorite .22LR (new production, made by Savage).  The factory blueing looked horrible, so I stripped it off and browned it.  I'm not entirely happy with that, so I think I'll re-blue it  ???  Since the picture was taken I've restained the stock, so the wood looks much nicer now.

And finally, the start of a custom project.  1890 Martini-Henry action, made by Braendlin Armoury.  Eventually it will be a custom rifle in .38-55, with a vintage Unertl scope.

Hummm! I wonder what you might have in mind for a shooter in .38-55? Might it have something to do with the sound of lead hitting steel at around 300 yards?

That's the plan, even though the Martini isn't legal for NRA competition it will be a fun toy for here in Lincoln.  I really have no need for it, but single shots are addicting.
