No turning back, but you go forward with grit, desire, and of course a grin.

BARFcom is only good for the interesting reads.  There is A TON of whacko's.  Watch your 6 there.

There are much better forums.... Some you need clearance to gain access to.  If you are prior .mil or LEO and want the real deal, shoot me a pm and I can try and get you to the top of the list.  (I am neither, but know a friend.

The tech forums on arfcom are excellent.  General Discussion is.... entertaining.  In a 13 year old, juvenile sort if way.  I get a kick out of it, but it can be pretty dumb sometimes.

What you NEED to do, though, is come shoot CMP High Power with me when matches start up again in April.  I just got my A2 setup last fall but haven't shot a match with it yet.

The first reply I started to type right after your initial post was "Not unless you want to be an Alpha Hotel".  I refrained, but after several others have commented, I feel more comfortable about voicing my opinion.

I go to ARFCOM when I want some technical know how, but that is it.  I saw early there that I did not want to be the new kid asking newb questions, because they would attack like wild animals smelling blood.  It didn't happen to me, but luckily I saw the wolves attack before I jumped in.  Either there are no mods or no rules at ARFCOM.  Regardless, it is nowhere near the polite society we have here.  Or at least we are kept in line by Dan W.   ;D

Say what?

I'll still beat him with my swiss, or mauser, or mauser 2, or mauser 3.

Bring it on!

We're not heathens, you know... ;)

NE BULL:  Yes, join us at ARFCOM, the water is fine.

As others have said- avoid 'General Discussion' unless you are very patient or immature. It's the equivalent of riding the short bus to school. There is a ton of helpful and interesting info on ARFCOM though. Requires a little digging & filtering sometimes, but most things do, right?
