My main concern with these 'gun-free' zones are: If she would have been allowed to carry, along with any other student, would he have even of been there, knowing that. Crazies aren't stupid, they always go to the 'defenceless victim' zones.

I think this will cost them 500+ jobs, someone said about 15% for their tax revenue, several Movie industry jobs and revenue (Outdoor channel shows), Tourism is going to suffer ( see movie loss as they will not be recomending Colorado for anything), Possible massive debt for recall elections, lots of lawsuits filed for unconstitutional  laws, no safety, 

It appeared that almost 60% of citizens in that state opposed these laws.
but they are being ignored. 

I'm scared at what I saw happening ......Everyone has liked saying "Can't happen here!"

I just watched the video above where Amanda Collins descibed her rape on a
campus parking facility. I listened to a courageous woman describe what
could possible be one of the worst events a woman could survive only to
have you state some ridulous statistic to her at the end in what you
imagined somehow supported your agenda.

I can not imagine a public servant admonishing an individual for being a
victim. I can't imagine anyone so safe from a horrific event thinking any
thing they have to say outside of genuine sympathy should leave their
mouth. I hope you have already publicly apologized to Amanda and everyone
else that was subject to your ignorance and insensitivity.

Gun free zones do not work. Gun free zones simply ensure criminals have a
place where they can find easy victims. You completely miss the point
whether Amanda may have used a firearm to defend herself that night. There
is the concept that armed individuals make poor victims. Criminals are not
likely to prey on individuals when they can not guarantee their sucess. A
gun free zone greatly enhances their sucess over a victim.

I can only hope you never are subject to being a victim of a violent
crime, subjected to reoccuring memories of that crime and finally subject
to admonishment by some ignorant politician trying to sell an agenda.
Hopefully constituents will realize their mistake and ensure you never
hold a public position again.

Sadly it looks like the other three anti-gun bills are moving forward especially the one about magazine limits.
