My .308’s
« on: April 17, 2013, 04:26:31 PM »
Finally found the handguard and stock for the AR-10 and just got them installed by the guys up at the Bullet Hole this afternoon.  Tried to install the stock last night but apparently my cheap stock wrench is bent or something because it wasn’t working right.  Now that they are both done….for now….here are some pics and specs.

First is a DPMS Sportical with a Magpul PRS stock, JP Enterprises extra long handguard, and a cheap Caldwell bipod I already had.   The scope is a Vortex Viper 4-16x50 PST, Burris Fast Fire 3, on the AAD mount.

Second is a Remington 700 AAC-SD with a Sandstorm suppressor, Nightforce 5.5-22x50 scope with Nightforce 30mm low rings on a .20MOA base.  It also has the Nightforce anti-cant top ring and angle degree finder. *edit Also has a Harris ultra light bipod.

I love it.  Almost bought one right after I got the rifle on Dec 18th but didn’t and they were out of stock everywhere.  Optics Planet has most of the sizes in stock as of the 7th when I ordered it and they are cheap.  Main thing I was looking for was something with a smooth texture yet still is aesthetically pleasing.
