Ability to accept
« on: May 04, 2013, 11:43:50 AM »
Considering the recent gun control attempts and the ones that will come, we should pay attention to language put out by our politicians.

I am surprised in conversation with others that the language "ability to accept" was not recognized as dangerous as it was (is).

Most gun control bans included semi-automatic firearms with removable magazines that had the 'ability to accept' a forward pistol grip, barrel shroud or threaded barrel. If your semi-automatic handgun has an accessory rail...it has the ability to accept a forward grip. If you semi-automatic handgun has a removable barrel..it has the ability to accept a threaded barrel. How many handguns are impacted by those definitions?

If ability to accept includes any firearm that can be modified to accept a restricted feature, how many firearms does that restrict?
