I've Never Seen 'Em, but From What I've Read on the Topic............
TrAAckers are shotgun wads that retain about 1/8 ounce of the shot charge, which gives the wads added weight such that they stay with the shot string/pattern much longer, rather than dropping out very quickly like standard lightweight plastic shot wads. They come in blaze orange (cloudy days) and black (for sunny days). Or maybe vice-versa....Whatever.
Winchester literature claims that the trapshooter can visually track the wad toward the clay bird and verify or adjust his target lead as needed.
[Now that's all I know about TrAAckers, except that DanW shoots the clay birds with the actual TrAAcker wads instead of the shot string. (In Handicap Doubles, no less)]
I tried to buy some of these new TrAAckers at a well-known Omaha gun store. "Do you have any of those new 12 gauge Winchester AA TrAAckers in stock???" Which made the clerk break out in an uproar of laughter. I slunk out of the store in shame. Such a question to ask these days.
Anyhow........Anybody ever gottem and shottem???
Need full report, if you have.
My clear motive here is to try to become proficient at trapshooting without the dreary act of actually practicing. Learning to shoot a firearm with both eyes open is a whole new phenom.
