Tried To Buy My Wife A Pistol
« on: May 23, 2013, 09:48:50 PM »
She does not seem to cotton to it, so looks like I have another one!

Beretta 9mm PX4 Storm SubCompact

Holds 13 rounds in the standard magazine.  Full size Storm mags do work for even higher capacity.

Lots of you tube posts on this gun.  People seem to like it.  Being a Glock guy, will seem different having such things as external safeties, hammer, decocker levers, etc.

So, till I try to buy my wife another gun, I have my new pocket pistol!

Don't you just love it when the wife doesn't like the gift you got her and she let's you keep it? I know I do! Could have something to do with her being an ex wife though.... :D

I like the looks of this Beretta and it's on a short list of mine. Like to hear what you think after you get better acquainted with it.

Have her check out the Nano by Beretta.  A great little gun and should fit the smaller hands of most women without any issues.

Nano by Beretta.

Sweet gun.   However,  it's recoil was too much for my wife so we downsized her.

Any small gun will have a bigger recoil.  Why look at a subcompact?  Where does she want to carry?  I carry a Glock 26.  It is a small gun but not tiny and the recoil is manageable.  I even like the Glock 27 in .40 cal (hoping to get one someday).

That is a slick looking pistol!  I really like the look of it!  I have a KelTec probably similar in size to that. I love it!  I don't feel comfortable carrying anything much bigger. If the wife wants you to sell that PM me!!!

How much have you fired it so far?

Tell me how you like it and any issues you may have.

I work at a gun counter selling guns, so the information would be useful as I have not been able to play with one yet.

Also, did you look at the PX4 Storm?

I have heard good and bad things about it. One thing about the PX4 Storm that bugs me is the big gaps at the chamber between the slide and the barrel.

Tell me about your experiences as well, please.
