Weekend Coffee, v.4.0
« on: June 11, 2013, 09:19:07 AM »
Cliff's comment got me thinking, we need another one of these. And since my addled brain does remember that I promised the Omaha crew it would be closer to them, how's this for an option:

Saturday, June 29, 2013

The Beanery
11849 S. 216th St.
Gretna, NE 68028

0930-?

Thats what I was thinking anyway, reviews online seem to be good.

Dave

Anyone have a problem with inviting a few ARFCOM guys as well?

Most are NFOA members too, just don't post here much.

Cross posting another event on that day, come over for coffee and stay for a picnic in the park.

You can invite all your buddies, but you have to stay home.
The more the merrier, just not Rick.  ;)

I am off tomorrow, perhaps a scouting trip is in order.  (kinda hard for my broke self to justify it, but then again, i've been cooped up in a warehouse all week. I need to feel the wind in my hair.

All three of them.

gsd,
Might want include in your scouting trip the 'seating capacity' of the venue.
Can the management sustain a group gathering of 'X' on a Saturday morning without impacting his regular clientele.
Parking ??

If you find the Beanery too small, which I believe it is, then try D & K Gretna Cafe.   Full menu including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A friend of mine used to own the Beanery.  Been to D&K many times over the years.

Sorry, I won't be able to make it ...  Y'all have fun.

I had a pre-gunshow breakfast there a few years ago. Good food and service from what I can remember. Perhaps we can get some recon on this place too?

Recon Mission was a failure. I blame laundry.

I'll run up there tomorrow. I'll guesstimate attendance at 10-ish people, survey for parking, and seating accommodations.

gsd,

I think I would plan on the 10 ish, but would scope it out for 20. Some of us are still of the fence with personal schedules. Thanks

Sorry, if I read this earlier, I could have checked it out on my Friday pick-up-the-children-trip.
