Mark Your Calendars! This is sure to be the absolute most 2nd Amendment Action that could possibly be crammed into One Day!...& it is being provided FREE of CHARGE to ALL N.F.O.A. Members! (Lunch Sold Separately)
We will host the Annual Members Meeting this upcoming August 22nd @ Heartland Shooting Park which is conveniently located near the center of the state!
Your Board Of Directors is working hard behind the scenes to make this event bigger & better than all previous Members Meetings.
This is where you come in....We All Love the 2nd Amendment & Almost All Of us actively support the N.F.O.A....What we could really benefit from is having a majority of our active members say..."the N.F.O.A. really does not ask too much from me & for 8 hours of one single day of this year...I can make the trek to Grand Island...take part in high quality Firearms training...meet a few new people...throw some lead down range & have a great time!"
We are currently hammering down all of the details & contacting everyone gracious enough to volunteer their time... We will be releasing plenty of specifics very soon.... Thank You & I hope to see you there!

Surely someone else besides me is going! :o BUMP!

Hey,
Do we have a designated Hotel for members that week end, or can some of you that attended last year recommend one?
Working on the wife to spend a weekend out there, we'll see how it goes.
Looking forward to seeing this complex, I've heard a lot about it, but never shot there, and yes, I'm bringing a shot Gun.

I will have a Thompson, class 3 SBR, and an HK MP5 on hand to try out. My suggestion, as I will not be bring s large quantity of ammo, is to bring some of your own to shoot.
To clarify, 9mm, .45ACP, and .223. You know you want to...
-
Can anyone point me to an itinerary or schedule for the meeting? I just found out I'll have to attend a work function late afternoon but would still like to attend in the morning and do a few things.
Thanks

"What should I bring to the NFOA Meeting?"
Good ?...all that you need is yourself! However you can bring a few more items to have even more fun!
If you would like to shoot the Steel Challenge stage Or the USPSA stage...you should bring a Semi Auto Pistol, multiple mags, & some ammo!
If you would like to have your kids take part in the 'kids rimfire challenge'....Bring Your Kids!
If you would like to try your hand at some CowBoy Action shooting...bring a few extra dollars to help with the cost of ammo for that activity!
If you would like to shoot some Fully Auto weapons...bring your big boy Or big girl pants & some Ammo...(9mm, 45, &/Or 223/556)
If you would like to shoot some High End Precision Rifles...bring a steady hand & a few dollars to cover ammo costs wouldn't hurt!
If you want to take part in a Verbal Defense/Basic Combatives Class for FREE...bring your eyes & ears!
If you are just realizing that you didnt RSVP for lunch...Dont worry! You can still join us at No Cost to you! Just pack a lunch & come on down!
-
What caliber are the precision rifles?
-
I believe the one we are bringing is 6.5 Creedmore, and I believe Mudinyeri will be bring a .308.

... and .223
Both of mine are suppressed. So, if you've never shot a suppressed rifle before, you can get an idea of how much quieter they are.

For those N.F.O.A. Members attending the Annual Meeting this year...we will have a number of items being raffled off or just plain given away! So bring some extra cash folks. A couple bucks could send you home with some nice gear. (Not to mention support your NFOA-either way, you win)

I hope so!

Of course they are!

I hope this is alright with everyone, if not it will not be available at the meeting.
The NFOA-PAF has come into possession of a 7.65mm Mann that we will have for sale on a silent auction. At this point everything I find on this gun starts with saying it's very rare. This one is complete and appears to be in working condition, I will be bringing a box of 7.65 (.32) ammo along as well, will come with the gun. I have been able to find 2 recent sales for these online, one sold for $750 a couple of years ago the other all I know is it made the appraised value of $900 - $1,300 back in April. Both of these were blued guns with very little bluing left, this one is nickel and in very good condition. Both original Mann plastic grips are there and intact, but the springs holding them in place are old and slightly loose, these are normally missing and replaced with homemade wooden grips. This has what would be considered normal wear for a gun manufactured in Germany between 1924 and 1929, the magazine says Cal 9 (.380) which was also available for this gun. Many of the guns that have turned up in the US have come with documentation showing these were brought home by service men from WW II, where these were a popular as pocket pistols and carried as back up guns by German officers. This one has no documentation showing its history and has no importation markings.
We will start the bidding for a silent auction at $150, we will figure out how final payment will be made but all permit requirements will be in place.

My family and I have a great time. Thank you for a great day and thanks for the work you do.
-
While it is fresh in my mind, I wanted to give a big THANK YOU to all the board, the speakers, presenters, helpers, everyone who ran or helped with the events, the vendors and all who attended the members meeting today.
Everyone involved did a great job and made for a very educational, informative, entertaining, and fun filled day.
It was great finally getting to meet a lot of you. All great people.
God bless and hope to see you again.
-
Does anyone know who the guy was that was taking all the video down at our bay? (NFA Firearms on Bay 1)
I'd like to get some copies of those if possible.
Thanks!

Got the scores done for the Steel Challenge Fun Stage from the meeting today--we had 45 attempts at the stage (some people tried more than once, some of us shot a gun or two in every category because it was FUN). I am told I have to leave my scores in. (In a different post I'll explain the "CCW" division listing...)

Hope that people had a good time shooting the stage---Steel Challenge is lots of fun, isn't it? Heartland is having a State Steel Challenge match (all 8 stages!) next Sunday, and the next Steel Challenge match (6 stages) at ENGC will be on October 18th.
Shooting the full version (5 strings per stage instead of three) for six or eight stages is even more fun...
-
Had a great time today, thanks to all who worked on planning and implementing the event.
Thanks to the speakers, shooting organizers, trainers, those who brought guns to try.
There was something for everyone.
I can also now knock the need to shoot a full-auto gun off my bucket list. WooHoo!

I had a work function and couldn't make it. Who won the pistol?
-
Thomas, did Paul shoot that with his brand new pistola?
-

I don't actually know!
I wasn't around when the drawing occurred (I was setting up my stage) so I didn't even know who won.
....I just knew if wasn't me. :(
-
The winner of the H&K VP9 handgun was Paul Dunn. Congrats! Paul was present and we were able to transfer the gun to him right after the drawing and he did get to shoot it that afternoon.
-
Want to extend a thank you to Sean (SeanN) and Ardena (zebra) for helping run the Steel Challenge stage---they were the two folks who frequently took over while I was off having fun elsewhere.
On a related note, thanks to Alex for running the USPSA stage, and the cowboy action folks for bringing everything so we could give it a try. (If you didn't try the cowboy action stage, you missed out---it was extremely fun. And now I want a pair of single-action revolvers like the one with the white grips....that was ridiculously easy to shoot!)
