The NFOA Legislative Committee cordially invite you to our
2015 NFOA Day at the Capitol and Luncheon.
On Thursday March 19, members of the NFOA will spend the day at the Nebraska Capitol discussing pertinent Legislative Bills with our respective Senators in the morning, educating ourselves on the unique Nebraska Unicameral legislative process, with the day ending with public hearings on bills of our interest.
Dress Code: "Business Casual" but also come as yourself- we want to represent the diversity of our members.
A full itinerary follows:
- 8-9am. Rod and Jeremy will be at the capital early to assist any member that would like to seek out and speak to their respective senator. We highly recommend a face to face. Session starts at 9, thus come early if you want to speak to your senator.]

Educational Seminars
NFOA Directors will provide a Overview of the 2014-15 Session Bills of interest, our
Objectives and Priorities this session.
Guest Speakers: Senators and Legislative Aides will speak on Bills introduced and the unique
Nebraska Unicameral process. - 11am We will move to the Legislative Chambers Balcony during the day's session debate, and be
officially recognized by the Speaker. - 12 noon We have invited senators and their staff to have lunch with us.

Catered by: Phat Jacks BBQ - Big selection of BBQ goodness will be available.
Cost for lunch will be a $20 donation to the NFOA.

We ask that you stay to support our Volunteer Lobbyists. There will be a sign in sheet for you to place your name and your Support/ Opposition for a particular bill to be entered on record for committee consideration. If you would like to testify- GREAT! Please contact Rod or one of our other lobbyists to coordinate testimony, and reduce any redundancies.
The committee also asks that members adhere to the code of conduct during the hearings.
