Places to Shoot.
« on: February 23, 2009, 03:52:15 AM »
I am new to this forum and haven't seen this discussed. If it has I am sorry. I live in Omaha, and am looking for places to take my guns and be able to shoot them. I know of the Bullet Hole, which is an indoor range. Are there any other indoor ranges, or any outside places to go to? Thanks in advance for any replies I get to this!

The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

Go to ENGCINC.ORG for a virtual tour of the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club.  One time $125.00 initiation fee and $125.00 per year membership.  5 hand gun ranges, trap range, 50 meter range, 100 meter range, 600 yard range which is broken down to 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and the 600.  A new 300 meter range will be completed this summer.

I think he may redeem himself with the new 1911's.   Maybe..... ;)

Oh, there is no doubt in my mind I will choke.  :'(

Anyways, sorry to hijack this thread.  :-[

There are links on the front page to Eastern Nebraska Gun Club, and the Weeping Water gun club.

Also, I have never been there, but I remember a thread a year or so ago on ccwne.com I think, about a public place just outside of Nebraska City. I'll try to go back and find it later when I have more time and post a link.

Does anybody know where to find a listing of WMA's?  My usual shooting spot, Bassway Strip WMA by Minden is apparently out of commission for the time being due to bridge repairs.  I've checked a few others I know of, but they are all posted "No target shooting".  I've tried the state website, but I can't get any solid info.

You can go to the Nebraska Game and Parks web site to look at the list of WMA's or pick up a hunting guide and look at the list in the back.

I'm new to this site also. I'm in Omaha... I've been shooting at Bullet Hole a bunch, it's fun, but my AR15 needs some longer range targets to "stretch its legs" a little... 25 yards gets kinda boring after awhile. There any good places around here? I was thinking about applying for the ENGC but it is a tad on the expensive side for how often I shoot. Any help would be appreciated. :)

Hey names Ry, I live in Bellevue and I have a bunch of guns lying around collecting dust, so i need a place to shoot them. I've heard the bullet hole is a good place, but im not goin to pay the ridiculous prices just to shoot there for an hour or so.
Ive read in here that you guys are shooting at a place called Hamburg Bend. Sounds like a great place to shoot! I cant seem to get directions to get there though. Does anyone have detailed directions to get to this place?

Thanks

~Ry
