PSA is still at it...$37 LPK's (came to $44 shipped)

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar15-days-of-christmas/p-tac-lower-parts-kit.html

I bought a few of those when they first came out. I needed to file the mating surfaces of the trigger/hammer in order for the trigger pull to not feel like absolute crap. The bolt catch pin is slightly oversized too.

I think this is an even better deal for $29.99 http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/featured/p-tac-blackhawk-lower-parts-kit.html

PSA has some great deals today.  Lowers for $50, stock & buffer for $36, Lower parts kit for $30, and a complete upper for $289.

Not counting shipping I just bought a complete AR15 for barely over $400.  It's just a cheap non-chrome lined upper, but it would be fine for a plinker.  I plan on just sticking it in the safe and keeping it for trade fodder.

Should we just rename this thread to "PSA has a sale going on, again"? So I checked on their sales, they have an M&P40c for $449.99, then have a $100 PSA gift card with purchase of a Smith & Wesson. They also have PSA gift cards when you buy other firearms too...

Yeah it is. It's one of the reasons I stopped ordering from them.

Actually, every time i have called them i have had no complaints. they jacked one order all to *bleep*, but that was maybe 2 years ago. Smooth sailing now. I actually expect 2-3 weeks before shipping currently. Its the holidays after all.

Ordered some stuff a few weeks ago, had it in 2 weeks total.

Orscheln's has 1 lb. exploding targets on sale right now... a four pack for $21.99 ($5.50 each).  Pretty good price and no shipping expense.

Disclaimer:  Haven't tried them yet so don't know if they are as good as Tannerite.

Just thought I'd point out that if you wanted to build a starter AR, head over to Palmetto State Armory and buy:

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ptac-16-5-56mm-1-9-m4-profile-rifle-kit.html

Then find someplace with decent cheap stripped lowers, and buy one.  (Generally $89 or less.   Which you can also get from PSA, but many other places too.)

Instant AR.  (Yes, eventually you'll want to switch out the barrel for a different one.  So what?)
