Peaceful march at the State Capital for 2nd Amendment
« on: January 11, 2013, 07:21:12 AM »
I have seen this posted on numerous gun rights web sites and I think this is a great idea. Saturday January 19th at Noon. I will be there. We need to get out and protect our gun rights. Please pass this on because we have to be heard. This video by NutNFancy explains it very well.

Sure, might as well, nobody else is going to stand up for our rights if we don't.

Pretty sure I'm already on "the list" anyway......  ::)

I am a big believer on what this country was founded on so count me in.

So can somone tell me the details are so I dont have to listen to him.
Are we just supposed to stand on the steps?
Do we bring signs?
Are you asking us to open carry?

here is the link to the event page.  http://www.facebook.com/events/144639815690301/ Please use Facebook if you have it and invite your friends. looks like it is a peaceful rally. Use banners, flags and signs. Dress semi casual, we need to represent the gun owners of america, we need to surprise folks that we really are the people next door. So I am guessing wearing all your tactical gear is the sterotype they dont want people and media to see.
They are suggesting that if we have a state that allows open carry we do so, but I know nothing of the laws concerning this, does anyone here know?
Bring your family. And contact all your media outlets about the rally.
I would not mind helping to organize this, but I am on-call this week and will not be able to really give it alot of attention, bascially it will be impossible for me to do it on my own. So far they have no one listed as a state organizer yet, so alot of folks only know the date and time.

Political rally = no carry if I recall correctly.

Probably best not to, don't want the wrong kind of publicity.

My son and I are both new to Nebraska, and we will be there.  We just escaped from California and welcome some of the new found freedoms here in Nebraska.  We look forward to seeing all who attend, and maybe meeting some of you from this forum too.  It's nice to be able to put a face to some of the names.
I also agree that we need to present ourselves in the best light we can, because the news will be looking for any and all reasons to label us as the nuts they want us to be
Hear me now everyone, I came from California and I know this for a fact.

I am glad to see people are going. I would love to be the organizer but work schedule will not permit it. I say word of mouth is a great way of passing it on. Mention it on Facebook, Twitter, etc... Let fellow co-workers know and have them pass it on. We need LOTS of people to show up so everyone knows we are serious.

Would enjoy the interaction with fellow NFOA members but had made an earlier commitment to assist in rifle and shotgun range operations for a few hundred Boy Scouts.  I will be passing out NFOA data sheets to adults assisting during the day.

Have fun - be safe - represent the firearm owners of Nebraska, and the United States well.........
