Peaceful march at the State Capital for 2nd Amendment

Thanks to everyone who showed up today!  I would guess somewhere between 3-400 people showed up.  Probably 2 dozen people spontaneously came up from the crowd to speak.  That was great to see, the only problem was that it stretched the rally out so long that people started to drift away.  We handed out a bunch of NFOA brochures, and Rod, Andy, and Scott all got up and spoke very well.

I had a good time (if you know what I mean) at the rally.  I generally enjoyed the folks who stepped up to the mic to speak. My own personal take follows: A couple times it turned into the crazy tinfoil hat conspiracy theory hour, but on the whole, I agreed with what people were saying.  I particularly appreciated that the gentleman who planned/set up the whole thing was not what the mass of people would consider a "gun nut" and that women also spoke up, and spoke up well.  We (myself and Nightraidersomenumbers) trickled out at about 2:30ish, the event was dragging a bit at that point, but on the whole, well done.

Yeah me and my son were holding the Molon Labe/Gonzalez AR-15 flag. That sucks man, one thing I didnt do was socialize much. and when the longwinded and conspiracy theory guys went long rants we left but not before I got my NFOA t-shirt. heard it went on till 2:30. sounds like we need to do this more often and also be more organized but overall was a very positive experience for me and my family

YES! we need to get together more often. And interact more with our government officials. 
HMMM How can we do that?
Here's a few thoughts;

How about a yearly meeting where various Senators and such are invited and we can talk politics over a nice meal and do a little shooting, too?  Oh ya we tried that- maybe 20 people show.

I know! Let put together some Meet and Greets with prospective candidates and discuss our views in a relaxed sort of setting.  Oh crap, we did that, too and maybe 10 members showed up.

HEY! Here is a crazy idea!  Let's take a day and spend it IN the capital visiting with our representatives in the legislature on a one on one basis.  Then take a few minutes and oversee the debates and voting on the floor.  Make our presence known that we are watching.  Oh Hell, we did that, too. we had, what maybe 20 people at that event also.

And now this one will blow your freeking mind!  How about when the Judicial Committee meets to discuss and take public testimony on a bill relative to our cause, let's sit in and back our lobbyist or even testify to the committee.  Oh nevermind, we do that for most every bill and we are lucky to get a couple of board members and one old grumpy tired guy who just got off a ten hour overnight! 

Maybe you are right, maybe we should get together more and do something!

I feel your pain Jeremy. What we have to do is keep digging, finding new members and pushing the members to contribute more. One of these days we will find enough members who will lead the charge and become more active. Until then, I'm still pushing full speed ahead.

Thanks to everyone who showed up!  KLKN interviewed me.  I was not ready but I did it anyway and they only used one question I answered which wasn't too bad.  I didn't see anything on Omaha channels, and not much on any large networks.....Sadly.  I'm sure that with the rally in Lincoln along with those across the nation though that we got the attention of some people in government.
