Only in California.. I hope.

Having a fairly unique viewpoint as a male elementary teacher for the past 16 years, I can say without any hesitation that boys aren't allowed to act like boys at school.  This is just one of those examples.  I went to a two-room country school in southeast Nebraska.  The boys played army at recess.  Or Star Wars (with blasters).  Or cops-n-robbers.  If we found a stick that couple double as a gun it did.  That doesn't make me more violent or desensitized to shooting people.

My kingdom for some common sense in this country...
The master has failed more than the beginner has even tried.

I’d be looking to have a drive to get video games and video game councils instead of nerf guns.  That crap actually does damage to kids but then parents would actually have to interact with their children instead of using it as a babysitter.

Even without reading the article, you know it had to be California.
