That explains the "Guns 2 Roses - expedite!" in-box I saw them put it in.

I wore my best bespoke Savile Row suit for the photo too. Maybe that helped. Figured if yer gonna get fingerprinted like a criminal, you might as well do it with panache. (Too bad they zoomed in too close to see much of it in the pic.)

The fast turn around tells me fewer people are applying ? I wonder if during the height of the ammo shortage scare, if people were applying for CHPs in greater numbers ?

The article by John Lott that was recently posted by someone (gunscribe maybe?) indicated CCW permit demand is way up, nationally. Locally it might just be that June is a good month of the year, or simple luck.

Or the NSP is better staffed, or more streamlined/efficient as of late?

That theory makes no sense because it contradicts my theory that the fast turnaround was due to my immense charm and personal magnetism.

Yeah. The Lott article points out that the 11.1 million number is the lowest estimate, due to states that don't report, etc. I'd sure like to see Nebraska's issuance numbers pulled out specifically. The Lott article had us as a very low issuance state in terms of population, but it wasn't clear on how old the data were.

I turned my application in on Sept 19th, today is day 25 and nada but when I called the gall said they were averaging about 30 days right now.

Here's to hoping it comes this week as I'm out of town next week.

I applied the same day at Troop A, while it's nice having something good to look forward to in the mail...I wish it would just get here already.

I got my CCW permit in 10 days , maybe because I had a FBI background check when I was in the Air Force.

I turned in my application on Wednesday, October 15th and received my permit today, November 5th.

Three weeks, or 21 days, from application to permit. Not bad! Very happy to finally have it.
